About the game

Grim Siege is a strategic card duel set in a dark fantasy world. Each player has a tower, and in front of it stands a wall the enemy has to break through first. Build your tower to the target height or bring the enemy's down to win.

The whole economy runs on three resources: Stone for defense, walls and shields, Blood for magic, curses and the tower, and Slaves for aggression and swift strikes. Manage your income, stockpile, and decide where to invest. But inflation punishes hoarding: tempo decides the siege.

Six classes, hundreds of cards and a deep web of statuses (Rot, Veil, Silence, Chains, Shield, Spikes, Madness, Ward) turn every turn into a puzzle. Play ranked duels online, challenge a friend in a private lobby, or take on the Saga, a roguelite campaign where you draft a deck from scratch and fight through three acts of enemy factions.

History

Saqred Games is not a studio but one person. A 3D artist who has spent years making content for other people's projects, and who has wanted to make his own games since childhood. Grim Siege is that first game: art, code, design and servers by one developer, shaped in the open with the players from the Discord alpha.

Development started in May 2026. Replaying the classic Might and Magic games, the developer got hooked on Arcomage, the tower-building card game hidden inside them, and thought: this could be a proper modern game of its own. Grim Siege is that game, rebuilt from the ground up with deckbuilding, classes, online PvP and a roguelite campaign. It launched on Steam on September 22, 2026.

Key features

  • Siege as a card game. Towers, walls, shields and spikes: every card builds, breaks or poisons something on the table.
  • Three schools, one economy. Stone, Blood and Slaves each have their own income, cards and offerings. Balancing them is the real game.
  • Six classes, six strategies. Siege Master, Plague Lord, Zealot Cultist, Warlord, Architect and Dusk Baron, each with its own strengths and weaknesses.
  • Deep status system. Rot, Veil, Silence, Chains, Shield, Spikes, Madness, Ward and Cleanse: apply, combine and counter.
  • Online PvP. Quick and ranked duels with a rank ladder, and private lobbies with invite codes.
  • Saga roguelite. Draft a deck from 40 random cards, pick one of 10 heroes, and fight through 3 acts and an endless mode against 6 enemy factions with their own cards.
  • Built for everyone. Five-chapter tutorial, training match, 10 languages, full gamepad and Steam Deck support.
